This is a very dear song to my heart , it was originally meant for the legendary-oscar winning movie " Call me by your name " (I'll post a review soon) This masterpiece is made by a marvelous artist : Sufjan Stevens. Let's dive into this beautiful gem .

Sufjan Stevens has had a life with a lot of sorrow and grief , from his deceased mother to his boyfriend Evans , to which the song was kind of dedicated to . Some think Mystery of Love is just a song to speak about Elio and Oliver's love story , others think that it's about Sufjan's love paradox . When the world didn't know about Sufjan's queerness , he stood and performed the song at the oscar nominations while his secret boyfriend Evans was in the audience . Love paradox .

Remember when I told you that there is a type of songs that feel like they play inside your soul , this song is how I knew it . Was watching for the first time Call me by your name , on a cold night in my dorm room , alone , crying ... until I heard Mystery of Love and it took me to places I've never been to . Even tho I was still in my dorm , I felt like I had known real love. That's how powerful it is .
The songs chilly mood , rythme , and soft voice are what gives it it's vibe , or it's just sufjan . Some of the lyrics I love :

We all know that if we want to die , we better die beside our lovers . I think that's why we have marriage , to preserve true love to the last moment , really the last . We enter life caused by an act of love , and we shall leave it with one .
